Florida VS Kentucky Pre-View

The Gators are looking to add another W in the win column as they will face the Kentucky Wildcats tomorrow which is also homecoming. Florida did not play last Saturday due to a bye, but did handle the LSU Tigers the week before. The week rest should help the Gators and they should be able to preform a lot better. Kentucky (5-2) should put up a fair fight just like the Rebels came to do. The Wildcats are much more of a team then they were last year, even with Quarterback Woodson. Kentucky came out on top 21-20 in Lexington against Arkansas last week which really gives them momentum coming into the Swamp. What the gators needs to do is put as much pressure on the young quarterback possible and lock up receiver Alfonso Smith. Hartline passed for 239 yards with 3 touchdowns while Smith caught for 108 yards with a touchdown. Other than a couple key players, Kentucky has one running back Moncell Allen that can run up the middle. But with the Gators defense from last game, Allen might not be rushing for much. I predict that Kentucky will not have over 250 yards in total offense.

Quarterback Tim Tebow basically needs to stay calm in the pocket. Hit his receivers on every throw and do what he does best…. run the ball. Look for Florida to run the ball a lot more than they have been doing. Demps has really been impressing coach Meyer with his skills and should see a ton of playing time. Watch for Percy to make big plays. Catching and rushing. If you give him space to run, then you might as well say goodbye because Harvin is taking it to the house. This weeks rest Florida had really helped the injuries. And as long as the offensive line steps up and blocks then Florida’s running game is going to be spectacular. The game will kick off at 12:30 pm in the Swamp. Everybody try to wear “orange” because the Gators will be honoring Mr. 2 Bits on midfield.
